I have been asking myself this particular question not before but after 3 weeks of activity on the steemit platform,
and the answers i get are not yet clear, as there are various yardsticks used to quantify the amount of success of various users
I have little or no experience answering these questions for myself or even have a concrete explanation for those of us out there who have similar cases
But still i cant help but say some of the observations i couldnt just ignore
I still wonder what people's motivation are to join the platform. Maybe it is
- the crave to have your own community, which comes from man's natural curse to want to dominate and rule
- or it just feels good to be heard and draw motivation from comments?
- but dont tell me you want to do steem a favor as an act of care and pariotism, though the possibility cannot be overlooked.
- as for majority, which i think the money you can generate here is the reason, well is justifiable, money nowadays they say can buy peoples's conscience and feelings.
Upvote, sreampower, technique of content, increasing reputation, countless followers, curation rewards, author's reward all contribute to the tons of dollar generated but long overdue vacation on the platform gets you all of it.
But i noticed nobody wants to wait forever to get half the world following them
The need for followers have made people begging for upvote and fellowships which i feel make the person look like a slave and belittles himself, his work and skill. Some receive an upvote and also an invite to do the same for him/her, some newbies just ignore and use their SP which they hardly even have in posting multiple times and upvoting their own post each time they do.
I dont get to see successful steemians beg for upvote on their every post, instead they go with quality post and for others quantity post, which am not sure which technique edges the other. I do like to stick with quantity post, keeping it short and simple and must contain either facts, edycational or funny, because i feel there is no particular yardstick to measure how good a content has to be to have quality better than another man's own view of the same work. But never the less, a quality post is a quality post! it should be common that every human should be able to perceive that.
I do make quantity post on those mornings i wake without being inspired, and no matter how i try nothing seems to come up am proud of
Limitting myself to a small community is something i have got to change, its not that its bad or wrong but i just feel its partial. I almost exclusively ingage my post with only nigerians
but when i started widening my reach, the result is just great
I would like to engage with other nations.
I cant also leave out the fact that most authors and successfull steamians are so nice and friendly, giving everyone that warmth and sence of importance in the replies and comments.
Is it a coincidence that they are naturally and genuinely nice people or it is an act of pretence and being smart enough to carefully choose their words.
