Phonograph music player is open source and material designed music player for Android. This application plays audio files.

Component:
As a music lover and a Phonograph Music player user who has used this application for some time now, the problem I’m having with the application is that it lacks the BPM (Beats per Minute) feature.
This is a feature on music players’ most developers neglect while making and upgrading a music application.

Proposal:
Phonograph Music player should be upgraded and a "toggle BPM" feature should be added to the "now playing" option in "settings" menu where users can decide to toggle on and off. Turning this feature on, a user should be able to see BPM (Beats per Minutes) of all songs on the application user interface.

Mockups/Example:
How this feature should look after upgrade.

Benefits:
The Phonograph Music player has a large and increasing fan base with 1million+ downloads, 4.4stars rating from 33,078 voters/users rating this application on googleplaystore.

This feature make most DJs perfect their skills determining the speed limit on songs played.

BPM (Beats Per Minutes) is not a regular/common feature on music players so adding this feature will promote the Phonograph Music player.

  • It will improve the user interface by adding style and creativity.
  • More users will be drawn to the music player with an increasing number of users and downloads.
