@Ned Just Sent 50K Liquid Steem To @Utopian-io To Create New Accounts Directly From Utopian.io
I am writing this task request from Utopian.io to find two developers and a graphic designer.
- One Developer to work on the Frontend - Vue.js or React.js preferred - 400 Steem
- One Developer to work on the API - Node.js + MongoDB - 400 Steem
- A designer to design the entire registration flow - 200 Steem
The developers and the designer will also get an upvote by the Utopian Bot if they post their work via Utopian
Registration Process
The registration process will work with the following logics:
Github, Facebook or LinkedIn connect mandatory. If the past social data is enough to verify the user, the registration on the STEEM blockchain will be implicit. Utopian will gather the data to contact the user via email and store the info in the DB. The user will have to pick a Steem username plus the generated credentials.
If the user does not have enough social past data to verify its identity there must be a fallback to email + code verification via SMS.

if registration and verification could be done in python as standalone dockerized microservice, then I already have 50% of the code, which I build for SteemProjects and SteemConnect.
Does Node.js is really a requirement?

this should be enough to create even 250 000 accounts. Current
account_creation_feeis only0.2STEEM [1]. I heard on SteemFest, that after hardfork 20, every account will have basic bandwidth attached to own accout, so delegation SP will no be required.Wow, I'm shaking as well... 50k steem is enough for a quarter million new accounts!
This is the next step to make sure Utopian gets the future usage and fame it deserves :)

Besides the operational / technical part, are you also considering to improve the onboarding scenario in general? I'm thinkin about tools like tutorials in order to educate new users before they join the community and start to participate in this eco-system?
Especially during the past months there has been a huge gap of information among new users, and I'd really like to point out the importance of education right from the start. Obviously, if you want to bring the masses, you can't do personal trainings. But it would be huge to have some professional videos available for newbies for instance. Now that we have applications like DTube built on the Steem blockchain we might take advantage of these services. There are uncountable and semi-professional videos from steemit users available, but it's hard to find them if you're new to the platform and don't know where to look.
A well informed new user = a happy user = a loyal user :-)

I am not a developer but it is sensational that there is so much going on with this blockchain. It is wonderful to see @ned working on funding so many different projects (including the $20M coup he pulled off earlier in the week).
Steem will be one of the premiere blockchains going forward. There is a lot happening and the social media arena is about to be upended.

Not sure if there is room for choice, but as a sponsor, even if little one, can I have a formal request here to prefer VueJS over React on frontend? Both my (though very loose) experience and my gut feelings say that Vue would be a better choice.
