Lack of Libraries and Advanced Music Features on the VLC media app

Today I will like to make another suggestion on the VLC media player so as to try and improve user experience on the media player application.

Problem Observed.

While using the VLC media app to play music files, I noticed that there were no actions such as managing the music library, and also there was a limited use of tags and no rating system. It can only play music as it was sorted and arranged in the folders of the system.

Proposed Suggestion

A section should be made on the VLC app where one can sort all his music according to either the genre, or the artist or the track number. Also there should be an option to edit the tags of each music file and have a rating system in place.

Benefits

This suggestion will allow the user to be able to play music of only his favorite artists or favorite genre. And the tag editing will improve the sorting experience.

Conclusion

The managing of the music library and editing tags will greatly improve the user experience of the VLC media app a lot.
