MY DESIGN CONCEPT
I divided the circles which is the original icon into two equal parts, that makes a semi circle. I combined the semi circles to flash light. The semi circles will stand as a light.

Great work! The rounded light at the top doesn’t feel like a beam and more like a bulb, maybe it could work with concentric V’s that pop out of the background circle a little instead of the current concentric half circles!?
