AudioKit is the leading open-source audio framework powering millions of app installs. AudioKit is an audio synthesis, processing, and analysis platform for iOS, macOS, and tvOS. AudioKit allows developers to quickly add professional audio functionality to iOS, macOS, and Apple Watch apps. (source)
I wanted to design a new logo for AudioKit.

Desing Process

Benefits / Improvements

Because AudioKit is a sound application, I used the sound wave in the logo as well. Thus, at first glance, it can give clues about the function of the application. Besides, I also emphasized the initials of the application.

Tools

Adobe Illustrator CS6. And used Font : Microsoft New Tai Lue

HARD rules broken:

• A contribution must contain ...benefits of your work to the project owner.

• First of all, this is not a mobile app, this is a toolkit, they don't really need icon. so you should not too focus on icon. because you are proposing a logo (logo is not only icon).
• Your logo is not optically balance.
  
  This project already have a great logotype, the logotype is well made with great kern and contrast (different font width to show contrast)

In the Github reposunda there is an expression like "AudioKit is an audio synthesis, processing, and analysis platform for iOS, macOS, and tvOS.". I thought it was the mobile application of the project. I do not understand the importance of logonun optically balancing. I thought you looked better this way.

it is not mobile (ios) app, but it is a kit that allows developers to quickly add professional audio functionality to iOS, macOS, and Apple Watch apps.
