Publicizing Wordpress to Bloggers in Africa

Introduction

My name is Oh-khone Oakone. I have a flare for web designing and website creation. Since I discovered WordPress, I have been helping people create sites and open blogs via WordPress as it has made it easy for me to help people. Wordpress has a lot of uses but it's major objective is to provide support, design and features to build a website to ones taste and need. WordPress also provides users with the option of choosing ones desired blogging software on the web to creatively start up ones personal site. Hence, because of the vast use and need for wordpress, I decided to share it socially to Africans in order to publicize its numerous benefits so that African programmers and young minds would use this opportunity to make visible impacts in this century of technological development.

Audience

A facebook Ad was created to publicize wordpress to a selected number and type of audience in Africa. The ad was specifically set for people from 13-40 in Africa who are interested in media, computer & IT and web designing.

The promotional ad was to reach about a vast number of people in Africa from the range of 10000-15000 on facebook social media platform.

Activity

I created a facebook page in which I specifically use for promoting open source projects and other related topics. Recently, I made a post about wordpress on my facebook page and promoted it using a promotional ad to reach a vast number of people in Africa.

Results

The post made a rapid reachout to over 5300 people under the space of three days. Under the space of three days, users showed interest to the post and we had up to 1800 engagements on the wordpress reachout.

If you notice the area with a red marker you can tell that the number of reachout is 5300+ and counting.

Proof of work

I currently own a facebook page which is "steem-engine" which I use in running promotional ads. On the cover page of my facebook page is my steemit username displayed boldy. My facebook username is Oh-khone Oakone which is also the same on my steemit account display. Below, are displayed image showing proof of ownership of both my facebook page and steemit account.
