As explained in my previous article "The 3D printed gridcoin chip - Is nobody watching?" I made a stupid mistake in the design. Today I took the time to fix the design and make some new prints. There's not too much to talk about but I couldn't let this fun series end with an error. I made a pull request with the correct design on the gridcoin marketing repo on GitHub. Now everyone will be able to use the correct design.
This project was fun but now it's time for the next challenge.
I printed two chips today to send to two crazy geeks who have asked for it. I'll be posting them shortly, keep an eye on the mailbox guys. Enjoy your unique geek gadget.
Sorry for the picture quality. (mobile phone)

you can guess but I won't reveal their names

Has anybody tried printing this from some third-party printer like shapeways? I thought about printing a couple Gridcoin-related memorabilia for Christmas gifts this year, but I thought I'd check to hear people's thoughts on that before I spend any money.
I don't think so. At least I haven't heard of it.
Note that these are two coloured prints and so are the models.
