Suggestion: Add "SAVE TO PROFILE" and a "SAVED POSTS" icon on a post on steemit.com

in #utopian-io7 years ago

Time has been a very challenging factor for user on steemit, it's either being busy with a job, commitment or responsibilities.
This however makes it difficult for a user to view all his/her post and not miss anything, apart from automatic curation it is essential that good contents are also read and enjoyed apart from the money purpose, now how is it possible to maintain seeing every post you wish to see, and still continue with your commitments?

SUGGESTION.

In order for this to be possible, i suggest that a "SAVE TO MY PROFILE" icon can be created on each post and also another icon "SAVED POSTS" on the blog tab or elsewhere, maybe at the page of a user's followers, so that whenever a user is on the go, at work or anywhere and opens steemit they can see an amazing post but have no time as at that particular period, then they can click the "SAVE TO PROFILE" icon and automatically save the post and go back to see it, when they're quite free.

However this icon will not only serve this purpose, it can serve also as a storage depot for post we cherish and value to have information we need.
This will also save users the stress of foragging for posts they have seen before and wish to keep for a purpose.

ADVANTAGES.

Users will get to save posts with a great, Whether its a day old, month old or even a year old.

This will foster a sense of keeping valuable contents and show it may be of help in the nearest future.

DISADVANTAGE?

Certainly there will be no disadvantages, not now, or in the coming days ahead in steemit.

CONCLUSION.

If implemented this will be preserving value to the community, and also show the true intentions and ability of how people can respond when they see good content. Not just that, it will mean that people get to see whatever content they choose, whenever, however at any given period of time.

I don't even know why they don't already have that!! How many times I thought about that! It just makes so much sense

Yes you know, it could help improve here you know.
How is your steemit journey so far?

Yes definitely! It's going great! But every time I feel like I understand everything, something new happens. Like my one post about Alaska. I don't know what happened but it was suddenly almost 90$ ?! And then I'm back to my 10 cents hahah. It is a great experience I just don't know how it happened you know. I will just keep going :) thanks for asking though :)

its a great idea. Wont it have effect on the load the database carries?

Well it may, but these dev guys can do it.

The save choices would need to be stored somewhere, and I don't know that Steemit is actually storing anything directly. If something looks really good and I want to digest it in more depth later, I usually resteem it so it will be on by blog page.
Overall I think that it's a good idea.

I well if anything takes correction you can tell me sir

I just got started with STEEM and had been reviewing all of the FAQs to find out how to save a post. Finally used the search and found this post a few pages in. I was seriously disappointed that it does not already exist. I have found so much valuable information and would like a way to quickly get back to it.
