The analysis is performed on data extracted from @arcange 's SteemSQL database. There are three sets of data used:
- A full month statistics that shows the sum fo the number of post for #cebu for January and February 2018;
- A daily statistical data for #cebu in for January and February 2018;

This is done to assess the growth and performance of #cebu community. The data then presented using charts and tables, as applicable. The analysis also present a summary of all result.
II. Data presentation and analysis result
The following data presented below either tabulated or charted is based on the data extracted from SteemSQL as of March 9, 2018 ( 2 PM UCT).

This average authors generates close to 174 daily posting which receive approximately 564 comments, 3290 upvotes and 439.27 payout in SBD and SP. By comparing daily averages for February and January in 2018, Iwe can see a positive increase in the number of authors who have engage and used the #cebu tag, which is the primary tag for the Cebu community. We can account an increase equal to 28 authors and 199 upvotes is gathered. In terms of the number of post, comments, and payout generated, a decrease in the averages was accounted. As we take a closer look on the the daily average, we found out that the daily number of authors, post, comments, upvotes and payout are still above the daily numbers in the previous months. In adition, a 57.14 % or 16 of the daily accumulated post using the tag #cebu accumulates a total payout between 341.493 to 481.302 in SBD and SP. In terms of upvotes, we can account a 39.29% or 11 days of the daily accumulated post using the tag #cebu accumulates a total upvotes between 2999 to 3509. Therefore, #cebu tag is still performing better even with an observable decrease in the averages as compared to the previous month. This is supported by the numbers presented that is a way higher as to the previous month. Aside from that, we can account that the #cebu tag and the community is growing as indicated by the increase in number of authors joining the community by using the #cebu tag.
IV. Tools and Codes
I extracted the data from SteemSQL by importing it on Microsoft Excel using SQL Queries. I used Microsoft Excel to visualize and create a graph for the data. The data is extracted by using COUNT()
and SUM()
function from comments and json_metadata. The variables being treated are authors, no. of post, comments, total payout, and net votes. The full SQL script is shown below.
SQL query for Overall January and February 2018 Data |
---|
SELECT MONTH(created) AS MONTH, COUNT ( DISTINCT author ) AS Author, COUNT (*) AS Posts, sum(children) AS Comments, sum(net_votes) AS Upvotes, sum(total_payout_value) AS Total_Payout FROM Comments (NOLOCK) WHERE parent_author = '' AND created >= CONVERT(datetime,'01/01/2018') AND created< CONVERT(datetime,'03/01/2018') AND depth = 0 AND json_metadata LIKE '%"cebu"%' GROUP BY month(created) |
SQL query for Daily February 2018 Data |

SELECT DAY(created) AS DAY, COUNT ( DISTINCT author ) AS Author, COUNT (*) AS Posts, sum(children) AS Comments, sum(net_votes) AS Upvotes, sum(total_payout_value) AS Total_Payout FROM Comments (NOLOCK) WHERE parent_author = '' AND created >= CONVERT(datetime,'02/01/2018') AND created< CONVERT(datetime,'03/01/2018') AND depth = 0 AND json_metadata LIKE '%"cebu"%' GROUP BY day(created) |

Hello @juecoree, This contribution has been rejected due to the fact that it does not directly relate to
steemit/steem
project. Your contribution is about #cebu tag created by a community, This doesn't make it the community open source because it's on steemit. This is more like regarding every user's account on steemit open source which is technically not.Analysis for:
