I'm excited making my first contribution on this platform.
Components
Being a blogger especially on steemit has made a lot of people see the need for notepads on their mobile phones. Notepads are now an essential commodity in the 21st century and why not? Users tend to go for notepads that can carry out basic and advanced functions for them such as text formatting and some other advanced stuff. A note pad that has the capacity for this revoulution is snote pad
Snote pad is a cool notepad with a simple to use UI. But needs a lot of improvement to make it more renowned and enhance usability.
Proposal
These are some functions currently missing on snote pad
(1) word count
(2) ability to share notes directly from the app
(3) import notes or access notes from phone storage
These functions stated above are my propositions for snote pad.
Mockups / Examples
The snote pad currently does not give information about the number of words typed, this can be implemented on snote pad like this
On snote pad notes are automatically saved in a folder specified by the user but the option to access other notes not originally typed by the user is unavailable and also the ability to share notes written on the notepad to other devices or platforms where notes are used is unavailable. These functions can be implemented here on snote pad.
Benefits
Benefits these functions will bring to users
(1) The word count function helps the user to keep track of how many words he/she has typed. This is vital in cases where they are writing a document that has words limit. Instead of counting words manually the app makes it totally easy for them.
(2) On snote pad notes are saved in txt format on a specified folder in the phone's storage. This means for a user to share the note he has to access it from the file manager first which will consume some time. This function will make sharing notes swift.
Also sharing the notes from file manager means sharing will be only to another device. But with this function notes can be shared to other devices, social media platforms etc.
(3) With the ability to import notes or access notes from phone storage, users can now open/import notes they downloaded from other websites or they got from any other means and read it on the notepad and also edit it however they desire.
