Components
Omni-notes is a note taking open-source application aimed to have both a simple interface but keeping smart behavior.
The project was inspired by the absence of such applications compatible with old phones and old versions of Android. It aims to provide an attractive look and follow the most recent design guidelines of the Google operating system.
Proposal
I'm proposing to add two great features to the app, which are going to improve the app and as well increase the number of users.
Speak Aloud This feature aims to speak or read the whole text written in a note for good understanding. User might import a note written in a language he/she understands when spoken, but unfortunately cannot read it. This feature helps perfectly in this situation.
Open In Popup Open in popup works in a way that make the app more improved and impressive. It is a feature that shows a floating image of the app logo, when clicked will open the note set to be popped up.
Mockups / Examples
This is how the app looks like when the note we want to work on is clicked, without the presence of the proposed features.
Now the proposed features should be added to the app like the below images or examples, illustrating where to place these features.
- Speak Aloud
- Open In Popup
Benefits
Speak Aloud This feature is of great benefit in the sense that it reads each and every words written in a note to the user. It helps when we understand the language but cannot read it and sometimes we don't understand or comprehend things when we read them ourselves but understands better when it been read to our hearing. Adding this feature will solve these problems.
Open In Popup This as well is of good importance or benefit to the users, it makes it easy to access notes without the stress of lunching the app itself. It helps when user has an urgent presentation to make with note saved in this app. When the note is set to float and open in popup, user won't be worried of finding app, luncing it and at same time searching for the specific note. All the user have to do is to tap the floating logo/image and the note pops up.
