I assume you've used photoshop for that noise effect, if so you could've achieve a similar result in illustrator with Effects > Texture > Grain or Artistic > Film Grain. A better solution would be using a noise brush.
If that grain wasn't too important for whole idea, I'd rather a simplistic version.
Nice color choices, feels energetic very suitable for a game and you explained a lot in the logo with the astronaut helmet, hiding alien etc. Great work.

Actually, I made this texture effect on illustrator but when I export it in .SVG and .AI format it saved planet.psd separately.
For grain idea, project owner wanted to show the alien behind the rocks and I found a solution with using texture effect to show it. I guess it was important for him.
