Hello everyone! This is my proposed design icon for MovieDict.

Details

MovieDict is an app available for IOS devices that serves as a portable dictionary for thousands of popular movie titles. It includes a database of over 40,000 entries with a focus on the English, German, French, Russian, Japanese and (various) Chinese names. See Source

Proposed vs Original Icon

I used the same color scheme as the original logo and provided a more modern approach on its design concept.

Upon reading the description of the App, I came up with these ideas. I thought that these concept would best suit the use of the app.

Font Used

This is the font type I used in my presentation.

Benefits / Improvements

My new proposed logo is an improvement to the original icon. I created a simple and a more modern display but maintained the original logo's color scheme. I also thought that using a more modern display might draw people's attention to download this app.

Tools

I used Adobe Illustrator CC 2017 in creating this new proposed logo for MovieDict. I made screenshots during the design process as you see above as proof of work.
