Nth Society logo request - now with bounty

Details

The Nth Society project needs a logo! This is the first practical contribution I am asking for from the community. It's one of very clear and small scope, but an important one none the less.

If you're not aware of the project, briefly it is a new game in the making, still in the early stages of design, to design, develop and play a game which explores life in a voluntary society. It will be a multiplayer online game which is immersive and allows you to have fun interaction with people, exploring the world, building your own life in the material and social sense.

We are going to need artists to come on board and in this first task I am reaching out to you, especially the members / followers of @slothicorn and @ccommons.art, whom I deeply admire for your approach (and a special shout to @steemitadventure, am a fan 😁)

This is not a competition, there is no prize, no reward, except for participation in what I hope will become an awesome game. There is now a bounty on this task request, and I'll be doing this as much as possible in the future too.

Spec

In my personal opinion I would like to see the following in submission:

1. fits nicely in a square, as well as with circle cropping
2. uses the letters "Nth", optionally with the "th" in superscript.

Please read the proposal to get a sense of the project and what might suit in terms of art style and direction. It's really up to your own interpretation and ideas. Feel free to ask questions in the comments of course if you want an opinion but it's your work, bottom line.

Components

The artwork should include any source file used (such as a Photoshop file, etc.) as well as the render file, ideally in PNG or JPG format. You do not need to include a source file, the render file will do, but in the spirit of open source please release you source file.

If adding to the repository and submitting as a pull request (see below), contain your file(s) in a new folder.

I will not recognize your contribution if it is not licensed as CC0, that is, no copyright whatsoever.

Deadline

There is no deadline, but I personally would like to see what people can come up with within the next week 🖌 Note: the bounty will be closed and paid on 9th Feb

Communication

You can use any of the usual methods so we are aware of your contribution:

• create a post tagged #nth-society
• write a comment on this post
• fork the Nth Society repository in GitHub, add to it and submit a pull request
• join our Slack and tell us directly

Or ideally, do all of the above!

1. It is something like The Sims?
2. It happens in the past, present or the future?
3. What do you mean when you say "a voluntary society".

Hi, good questions!

1. Not really like The Sims, but not completely different either. It is probably more like MineCraft, Rust or Life is Feudal.
2. I'm not really sure, it hasn't been decided, but my best guess is that it happens in the present or near future, or near past. So that basically just rules out the far past or far future.
3. A "voluntary society" invokes the ideas of Voluntaryism. It asserts that "all forms of human association should be voluntary", and is associated with the Non-aggression principle. However players in the game are free to do what they like and will be as free as we can possibly facilitate.
4. I'd prefer to mostly leave this up to you. I will only say that I do not personally like too much complexity or too many associations with other brands, styles, nations, or political movements.

Logo measurements?

Hi, there are no particular measurements. Most ideal would be as a vector image that could be scaled to any measurement, but otherwise I suggest that it be at least 600 x 600, but ideally 1024 x 1024. We can then make different sized versions.
