Introduction
I am @princekelly on steemit and here is the link to my FACEBOOK PROFILE. link to my FACEBOOK PAGE which i use in promoting open source projects to Nigerians.
I promote steemit and other interesting open source projects. I have been doing that for a while now and decided to promote Audacity the best open source audio engineering project.
Why I Chose To Promote Audacity
- Audacity has same features as some paid audio engineering applications like The Apple LogicPro ($199.99) and FL Studio Producer Edition ($199)
- I want Nigwrians to key into this free project and make use of it for their personal or professional projects.
- Promoting this project to Nigerians would get more people involved in this wonderful project, some might even donate to see this wonderful project remain free for all.
- People like me want to make podcast and create our personal ringtone can enjoy the free service offered by Audacity and wont spend a dime on getting wack ringtones from network providers.
Audience
The promotion is targeted to reach over 10 Million Nigerians, to see the wonderful ,rich and free features of Audacity as a great alternative to paid ones, which would in turn save them alot of money.
Activity
I chose Facebook to publicize this platform using this FACEBOOK PAGE was used to promote Audacity and this Facebook POST was boosted to reach more Nigerians, I budgeted $18 for this promotion and $16 was spent in total to reach Nigerians aged between 18-65 years. This Facebook Post was made to give more detailed explanation of Audacity to interested Nigerians.
Results
The promotion ran for over a week, starting from the 22nd of February and reached over 6,300 people with over 1,100 reactions and over 1,000 likes with 37 clicks.
