I have forked the Utopian.io Repository in Github in wanting to establish a Gaming Page for Utopian.io. I will provide screenshots and concept images as well as sources and references that we can use to build the Gaming Page.
Why should we add a Gaming Page in Utopian.io?
I've seen that @deveerei, is creating a gaming initiative for Steemit.com, so why not for Utopian.io?
We will approach this differently though, we will just provide a page for game developers.
This is also towards Utopian.io's goal of supporting Open Source Projects. We're not adding just any games, we will add Open Source Games so that we are able to support them by playing them. This may also encourage the developers of those games to check out Utopian.io and possibly contribute or make task requests like this.
I just need help to develop the codes for the game page so that we can Contribute it to Utopian.io and make the necessary Pull Request to make the Gaming Page officially part of Utopian.io.
Here's a list of Open Source Games from Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_open-source_video_games

Open Source Games at DMOZ
As you can see, there's a lot of games out there that may need support and Utopian.io can be a way to help them!
The Gaming Page will be non-intrusive and will be very similar to existing Utopian.io pages. Here's a concept image for it:
It will still contain the Top navigation bar and the Sidebars. The Gaming Page can be launched with either the Left Side Bar, the Right Side Boxes, or the the Drop Down Menu Button.
Left Side Bar Concept
Right Side Box Concept
Drop-Down Menu Concept
The Gaming Page
The Gaming Page is consist of 4 parts:
- The Top Navigation Bar
- The Left Side Bar
- The Right Side Boxes
- The Content Area (middle)
Top Navigation Bar
The only thing that will be different on the Top Navigation Bar will be the "Projects" button and drop-down. It will now have "Games" in it and opening the drop-down menu will provide you with the game genres to choose from.
Another thing is the option to launch the Gaming Page from the Drop-down Menu to the far right, it will not include the "Play Games!" Option.
Left Side Bar
The left side bar will be the same besides the addition of a Games Menu Option and a Drop-down menu to sort the contents by genre.
Right Side Boxes
Once in the Gaming Page, this part of your screen will contain featured games. It can either be based on Popularity or Randomized. Or we can use Google to show users games based on their preferred genres.
Content Area
The Navigation Bars in the content area which are originally for contribution Categories will be replaced by game genres.
Underneath it will be where we would list the games, the same way as contributions they will be in separate boxes.
The top of the box will have a colored bar for the genre color, and will have the genre on it and the name of the game being shown.
There will be a placeholder for a thumbnail of the game (any photo, like a screenshot, the landing page, a promotional photo, etc) being shown. Then a short description as well, maybe around 4-5 lines worth of space.
Then a clickable link to Open the Game Page.
Once we get more developers onboarded in Utopian.io, the pages will change, instead of opening to an external website, developers will be able to host their game information in Utopian.io. It will look like a regular contribution or task request posted through Utopian.io but the difference is that it will be a Launch page of their game.

Rewarding Game Developers
We can reward them by upvoting their game post. Instead of relying on the upvotes and rewards they receive and other metrics that we measure in regular contributions and Task Requests, we can base it depending on the number of Users we send over to their game. It will be based on their game's popularity.
For example, for every 10 people referred to their game through their Utopian.io or Steemit.com post will be equivalent to 1%. But is doesn't have to be linear. We can increase the required number of Unique Users per margin (e.g 1-10% upvote, 11-20% upvote, 21-30% upvote, etc). Maybe every 10 people for the first 10%, then every 20 people for the next, then every 30 people for the next margin, and so on. Developers will have to create an account through either Steemit.com or Utopian.io to be able to make a post and get rewards!
This will get more users and open source game developer to use Utopian.io thus helping it grow even further!

Great post dude. Your blog is really growing fast I'd love to be as successful as you one day. Could you check out my latest post?
They should.
They should add the "gamers" section soon please
will be very nice to see ....
This is a good idea even if "games" are also "development projects" so they could also be on utopian.io such as any IT project. But indeed it could be nice to have a dedicated UI like so that quite fits the gaming categorie.
such a great idea, I hope that this will get implemented and that players even if they are none game developers can benefit from this too.
