Proposal
Add a refresh button on feed or ideally, an auto refresh option on a timer if there has been a trigger event.
To have a simplified view of the account blog visible whilst in the feeds that shows the last few posts with votes, comments, payouts visible.

Benefits
The refresh button simplifies refreshing both feeds simultaneously and is a reminder to do so.
There are several engagement benefits to combining the two feeds.
Just after posting it is recommended to avoid 'post and run' behaviour and stay to answer any questions and comments that may arrive. To monitor this means having several windows open and flicking between. This is however downtime that could be used to engage with others content.
Being able to scroll through personal feeds whilst keeping an eye on the personal blog feed means that it will be possible to engage with commentators faster as well as being able to engage with the posts of the followed people also.
Removing barriers and getting more eyes on content is of paramount importance, so simplifying/automating the steps required to do so means that followed content will be put in front of eyes more often and for longer, which increases the chance of engagement, comments, votes.

I miss a lot of comments on Steemit because of the way it is setup. Anything that allows you to more easily follow posts and comments would welcomed by me
I really like the idea of an auto-refresh. Also some sort of way to filter would be nice too.
What I really want is a way to view streams for multiple tags at the same time. It's really a pain in the ass to have to either bookmark all the tags I want to see and flip between them. I think it will drive content discovery way up if it's easier to get the feed from all the tags you want in the same place.
Better multitasking. I like it.
Is utopian-up another front face of Steem?
utopian.io is a developer interface and is used for many kinds of dev things. And suggestions like this from non-devs like me.
@BeerCake made a Chrome Extension (Steemit UI/UX enhancement suite) where you can hide/show the resteems. I think he is working on new updates as well, you might wanna tap that DM button on Steemchat and ask him to do a refresh button.
actually it would be great it's a great addition to the steemit system for sure it will make us able to have an eye on everything it would be easier to see comments it's really perfect addition thank you

An activity feed would be nice. Although it could quickly get noisy. Who tried that again... oh yeah the Big Eff did.
More than a refresh feed button I would like the feed to auto refresh and asynchronously push new content to the top (all without pushing what I’m reading out of view).
Like live blogs do, inverted chat view approach. Some platforms do it better than others tho. The BBC live blogs still push content down. 😖
Yes, this would be better I agree as long as it doesn't keep refreshing as I try to click on things :)
