VACCINATION OR DISTANT EDUCATION?

in #vaccinationyesterday

This very ultimate choice was set by officials in one of my country's regions. Parents were obliged either to choose distant education for their kids (instead of school) or to make vaccination against polio.
There was one more variant - to go to the hospital with tuberculosis patients for making analysis there.

Nice choice, yeah? if you are still healthy, then go to the infection center...

In September the regional education department created the order that made parents do this weird choice.
The order obliged parents to vaccinate their children against polio with at least three doses and undergo tuberculosis diagnostics or use distance education.

The order immediately caused outrage among many parents.
Officials stated that schools are obliged to create conditions for the protection of students, so kids without a certificate from a phthisiatrician can't visit schools.

But heads of schools didn't pay attention that the order is advisory in nature, and they had no right to insist parents make this choice.

The parents contacted mass-media with a request to make the situation public. They noted that all children, including those without symptoms of the disease, are forced to go for fluorography and to a TB specialist to issue a conclusion, and this doctor is in a tuberculosis dispensary.
That is, healthy children actually need to be taken to the center of infection.

The parents filed a complaint with the regional prosecutor's office. And it reported that during the inspection it was established that this regulatory legal act contradicts the requirements of federal legislation.
The deputy prosecutor of the region filed a protest with the Minister of Education of the region.

TOTAL VICTORY!
Bravo parents!

They really had a choice: to obey or to protect their rights.
And they have won!!

One more proof that we must never give up!
