The Nuremberg code specifically explains how coercion is not consent and how there should be no negative repercussion if consent is withheld. It also mentions how consent can be withheld for any reason. Furthermore, it doesn't differentiate between experimental procedures vs. approved procedures. Hmm I wonder why? Maybe because nothing in science is settled and always comes with both known and unknown risks? Maybe because everyone's body is also different and so all medical procedures in reality are always experimental? Nevertheless, this question remains unanswered. How is it that governments and businesses have been breaking the Nuremberg code and getting away with it? When did we normalize acting like Nazis? I thought we'd learend from history that we should never force or coerce medical procedures?
