I ask this in light of the fairly recent case of a young boy catching tetanus. He was unvaccinated and spent 47 days in an intensive care unit. His medical bills reached a whopping $800,000 USD. Even after the ordeal, his parents refused to vaccinate their son against tetanus.
What is tetanus? It is a bacterial infection that enters the body through a wound or cut. Once in the body, the bacteria make a toxin that targets the nervous system and causes severe and painful muscle spasms and could lead to death. Many people will have never run into it given the vaccine availability. You may have heard of it referred to as lock-jaw.
It's not a transmissible disease but is all around us in the dirt and soil. It occurs in all parts of the world where there is a lot of organic material. There are still deaths and infections related to the bacteria.
Would you refuse the vaccine after going through the same ordeal? Are you against all vaccines or only some?
5 days ago and no response?
You're probably ignored due to your ignorance of the "better knowledge of the free speech guys". Gosh, I hate to write such words but it's on point.
:(((
The case of that kid has been discussed in Germany also, however, I don't expect anti-vaccination parents to care.
