I thought it would be nice to upload something quick and easy post about Valentine’s Day. For couples it’s a glorious day full of gifts, love and quality time but for most single people it’s a dreaded day. Individuals are constantly reminded that they don’t have a significant other and feel pressured to find someone to call their “Valentine”.
In high school I never liked this “holiday” but I was even more frustrated by the whole “anti-Valentine’s day” trend. Yes, at the time I wasn’t in a relationship but that didn’t mean I hated the day or dreaded seeing some heart-shaped candy. For me it was just another day, and I didn’t make a big deal out of it.
Now things are a bit different. I’m in a relationship now, so I guess Valentine’s Day is a “big deal”. Unfortunately, I’m in a long distance relationship so I’m not seeing my boyfriend on Valentine’s day but we did celebrate it the last time we saw each other, which was very cute (if I have to say so myself).
But even whilst being in a relationship, I don’t believe romance should be reserved for this day. Just remember to take time out of every day to show your significant other how much you love them.
