RE: Vegan Biscoff Cheesecake!

in #vegan5 years ago

I got so excited by this post - and the pic - until I read the ingredients. Cos I live in Northern Thailand and all those processed, pre made vegan options are simply not available here.

So - your mission if you choose to accept it:

A how-to POST for each of those commercial pre-made ingredients, showing us how to make them at home.

So many vegan people living here in Chiang Mai, Northern Thailand - one of THE top vegan cities in the world. But import regs and HUGE import taxes make importing them not realistic. Soooo..... LOL..... over to you. :)

From one holding-her-breath cheesecake lover.

Hmmmm....let me think about it. I'm not sure we could replicate the biscoff but I'm pretty sure we could change for peanut butter. Is that something you could get? If not a good processor and some peanuts for that. I think I have a recipe for homemade cream cheese so I will have a look. 😁

The nut butters are easy here since the nuts mostly GROW here - cashew nut butter also very common here and affordable. I'be been deselected from 'the system' I have NO IDEA what biscoff even is. LOL. Homemade cream cheese recipe would be very cool. :)

Yeah it's one of those delicious things that you probably shouldn't eat kind of like a caramel taste but with smooth peanut butter consistency. I'll have a look for that vegan cream cheese for you. Are you native to Thailand or how long have you lived there?
