20th Day Vegan

in #vegan7 years ago (edited)

It is now the 20th day of eating whole foods.

And it's incredible how completely terrible I feel.

I thought it was supposed to be all sunshine and roses...

And instead it's absolute misery and pain. It's not supposed to be like this, is it?

The bloating I have today is incredibly painful. I can't say that it's been all uphill since I changed the diet, either. It's been up and down like one of our coin charts, with the same overall climb, but today was a complete drop like the kind where your heart drops out of your chest and you remind yourself to avoid panic and just hodl.

I ate Chick Fil A fries yesterday.

So that's that. I had a moment of weakness and I'm suffering for it. But those fries are seriously good, though. It might have been worth it just a teeny bit.

Or maybe it wasn't the fries.

There are products to help u with #Bloat. I know #Probiotic supplements can help reduce both gas production, as well as bloating when one has stomach issues.

When I switched my #diet, I experienced some gas/bubbles/bloat.

And i know Drinking water sometimes help - at least, in my case it helped. For people who have #Constipation issues, this can assist (fluids).

Luck to you.

P.S. Product I use is Dr. ohhira probiotics - You can explore reviews (rated 4 Stars & above )

I have already been taking a probiotic for 23 days, but thank you for suggesting it.

your going vegan/sober story sounds so much like mine. don't give up! i've been vegan and 95% sober (wasn't addicted but used to drink often without care. just realized my body really doesn't like alcohol and that it greatly contributed to my inflammation but i have a glass of wine now and then. anyways...) for about 8 months and progress comes in waves still. i've been sick of it so many times. the bloating would come back all the time and my skin would flare up for weeks even though i was eating well and not drinking/smoking. it took a full 6 months before i felt like i had reached a good physical state and actually lowered inflammation and it feels great now. so good i don't even miss cheese which i thought would never happen. but the look of it now instantly makes me think of how bloated and gross it would make me feel and the cheese seems weird and unappetizing. the same thing is starting to happen with alcohol. it sounds weird but it actually smells unhealthy to me now, kind of repulsive like my body knows it doesn't want it. and i used to love it. what i'm trying to say is, it'll start to make sense at some point once your body has had some time to adjust. it'll feel natural and normal and easy and you will feel great.
