Getting Rid Of The "Healthy Taste"

I get it……eating healthy doesn’t always taste like the " bad stuff "

Ok I'm a huuuuggggeeee foodie, and a part of being a foodie is experiencing amazing food packed with flavor. I knew that when I made the decision to go vegan I had to make sure food tasted GOOD.

“if only broccoli tasted like bacon or a I would eat a lot more of it”

As a self proclaimed professional foodie (lol ok maybe I'm not a pro) it has been my goal to learn and create vegan and vegetarian meals that I’ll crave all the time. Since going vegan I knew that if I was serious about this life changing choice, I had to make sure I wouldn’t fail or go bad to my old ways.

That's vegan cheese on top by the way :)

It’s allllll in the flavor!

I knew that if I sat around munching on raw veggies and fruits all day like some vegans I would never stick with it for good.

Heck! If I’m going to cut out things that I've been eating ever since I was a kid, then whatever I’m going to replace it with better give me a mouthgasm!

With a little learning and experimentation the food I’ve consumed lately has truly blown me away.

From Puerto rican to Italian cuisine you would be surprised how GOOD healthy food can be without the “healthy taste” that everyone like to describe non cancer causing foods unlike cough cough processed meats and dairy products.

I don’t know why some people think healthy = NO SEASONING! Even healthy people seem to be scared to put a little extra seasoning AKA flavor into their foods. Of course you want to go easy on the salt but that doesn’t mean NO salt unless you truly can’t have any at all for some reason.

AND YES THE PICS OF THE FOOD IN THIS BLOG ARE MEALS THAT I HAVE PERSONALLY MADE (Recipes are coming soon)

I’m super curious to know your comments if you have any on what has stopped you in the past from living as healthy as you can when it comes to your food decisions. Is it what I’ve written about today or the lack of time?
