Karedok is a traditional salad from West Java that is very popular. all the vegetables have been boiled and steamed first, the vegetables in the karedok are all served raw, so the fresh taste of the vegetables is still very pronounced on the tongue. The contents of vegetables in this karedok have no green leaves like spinach or kale, but only contain bean sprouts, long beans, cabbage pieces, and cucumbers. The sauce is made from fried peanuts which are rubbed and given spices of salt, chili, brown sugar and galingale. Usually karedok is eaten with kupat and shrimp crackers.
