Good evening, Steemians!
If you noticed I put the word delicious in parentheses in the title. This is because I really really really liked dinner. I started off cutting up three tomatoes and one onion. I diced them very finely. I boiled water in a big pot and threw them in. When it started boiling again, I reduced the heat. Then, I threw in some frozen vegetables like cauliflower, carrots, broccoli. Let cook for a few minutes, then we threw in garbanzo beans and the pasta. Cooked it up and drained the water. Threw in tomato sauce and nutritional yeast!!!!!!!! This was a great home cooked meal in under 30 minutes. Cost is estimated to be ~$3 total.
Sometimes I don't understand why people choose to eat out all of the time. When you eat out,
1. You don't really control the ingredients/portion size/salt/oil in your meals
2. It costs like 5-10 times more than if you were to make it at home.
I get that it's a luxury for some people, or that they don't want to do dishes, but I just find that we're getting further and further from how our grandparents lived - which in this case I think is a negative thing.
Anyway, don't want to turn a simple dinner post into a rant against the restaurant business lol
Hope you enjoyed, thanks for stopping by!

And people… it was delicious!
I love pasta! Your noodles looks very delicious! :)
I love pasta dishes :)
Definitely looks good and all this for $3? What a deal!
never cooked like this before with boiling onions and tomatoes but it sounds great because all the goodness that boils out the veg gets sucked up by the pasta, yummy! (dont know about nutritional yeast? is that the fake cheese stuff? great recipe :)
I'm now hungry.
I'm hungry
I hear you. We love home-cooked foods too and usually eat at home. Pasta looks good!
