Hello my dear friends of steemit, receive from me a cordial greeting, my name is yridelys malave I am 29 years old, I am a mechanical technician and engineering student in mechanical maintenance.
I have a beautiful son who is part of the great gift that God has given me, he is 6 years old, he likes soccer since he was nine months old when he took his first steps.
My family is my fundamental pillar, they have always been by my side in the most difficult moments of my life as well as in the happiest, I have two wonderful brothers one called Jesus and a sister named Maria, my father Adelso and my mother Yris.
I like to have fun, I love being outdoors, I like the beach, share with friends
My lovely friends
I like to do social work I think it's a way to help the world to be better
And good, my life is for me the greatest opportunity that God has given me, since every human being has come to earth to do a special task and that is why I try to give the best of myself every day.
About my vegan life
Conscious, healthy and sustainable lifestyle
I became a vegan to a trip to Segovia, when I arrived there were killing some pigs, This experience, and being surrounded for weeks by a culture practically based on animal mistreatment (intensive farms, butchers, animal-based gastronomy, confinements and bullfights). bulls, etc.) was the confirmation that the veganism that was premiering was here to stay.
When the blindfold falls off, you see nothing the same. Suddenly you see clearly a reality that you had before blurred, and when this happens, there is no turning back.
Having rich alternatives at hand, it is easier to live your choice from joy and freedom (and not from renunciation) when around you are eating sweets, chocolates, cheese, ice cream, ... foodstuffs that until recently you considered food and now you know ( also with the heart, and not only with the mind) that have generated suffering to other beings.
Recently, I asked my vegan or vegetarian friends how their transition had been. Not exactly the transition, but how his group of friends and his family had taken it since then. I start from the basis that, although they do not know, 95 percent of the population has been educated in constant disrespect and that has made it have a very low scale of what is "disrespectful".
Generally, the news at home, if you have to eat, does not feel good. Anyway, once the novelty happens, people usually worry: "At first I had to take the lunch box to family meetings, but now they worry about there being food for me at the table". On the part of the friends, the thing usually goes better (not to be the typical funny person who is saying all the time that the plants also feel, but he will not stop eating lettuce because he is not so aware of his screams of pain). As humans we have this need for group acceptance, at first you can feel a little bit just eating your vegan dish in a corner.
I agree with Leonardo Da Vinci when he said that "the moment will come when humanity will see the killing of animals as it now sees the killing of people".
Being a vegan is a philosophy of peace and compassion towards all forms of life.
I know that culturally veganism may seem like an extremist option, but in me I feel it as a more peaceful and compassionate way of being in the world.
When you become aware, you organize your life differently to be true to yourself 🙂
Welcome to steemit @yridelys glad to see you here and nice to meet you. =)
I'm so happy to see how lovely your family is and how united you are with your loving family. And as per you being a vegan, I guess that would or might be hard at first right? But good thing now you have friends as well who help you understand or how the transition works for them. =)
You are very beautiful

Hey yridelys! Wow, you have a lot you can share with this community! :-) I'm interested to hear about your transition to veganism. I am a pescatarian at the moment, but live as a vegan 95% of the time. I can give up everything, except for cheese. That one has been very tough so far, but I will get there!
Welcome to the Steem community! You are right about the family....it's best pillar one can have in this life :)
Also I was very curious about the vegan part....I think it's awesome! Have you ever read articles, or science papers on a vegan diet? I think it would definitely be interesting for you! I read some few years ago, and it says that it is better to heal from a surgery for example if you only eat vegetarian food ;)
