When we used to cultivate rice and jute before, the debt would not have been paid. Now, due to the introduction of vegetables, additional income is available in the family. Some money is more than the cost of the whole year.
Farmer Saiful Islam of khoksabari village said, this year he has sold one lakh taka of the cultivation of cauliflower and cabbage in advance. And it costs 35 thousand rupees.

It is said that Chakkandi village vegetable cultivator Yasin is with. He said, now I have grown vegetables in about 20 decimal places. The yield has been quite good compared to the last few years. Market prices are also good. We will do more to cultivate vegetables in the future. Vegetables are more profitable than rice cultivation.

He said that winter vegetables were cultivated in 8,500 hectares of land this year, which is more than last year.
