I would like to ask you a question "Are you Vegetarian?".
I once had a conversation with my friend on being vegetarian. He asked me Are you Vegetarian?, I said Yes. Then he said that he is also a Vegetarian but he eats fish. I said dude seriously you eat fish and you are saying you are vegetarian.
A Vegetarian is a person who does not eat meat, poultry, egg, and fish
Vegetarians are classified in three ways.
Vegans or total vegetarians who exclude all animal products(meat, poultry, fish, eggs, milk and other dairy products). Many vegans also do not eat honey.
Lactovegetarians exclude meat, poultry, fish, and eggs but include dairy products.
Lacto-ovo-vegetarians exclude meat, poultry, and fish but include dairy products. and eggs.
Now the funny part, "How a friend will introduce you to his friends if you are a vegetarian?". Hey, all this is my friend and he is a vegetarian. Seriously this is the introduction!
Now coming to the health benefit of being vegetarian. Do you know Brad Pitt, Steven Spielberg and many are becoming vegetarian due to the health concerns? According to American Diabetic Association vegetarians are at lower risk for developing Heart disease, diabetes, obesity, and hypertension. There are a number of reasons for becoming vegetarian. Some people are vegetarian because they are following some religion. Some people are vegetarian because they are against animal cruelty. Some believe that being vegetarian is overall a healthy diet to follow.
How many times have you asked a vegetarian why they are vegetarian and end up having an argument with them. The most common question to vegetarians is, what you eat since you don't have enough varieties of food.
According to a great scientist Einstein: "Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet." And I can proudly say I am a Vegeterian.
I am a vegeterian and I cook awesome food all at home.
I am a vegetarian foodie. Nice to see you over there and lots of other people :-)
I never ask. A good friend of mine is vegetarian , She would tell me things about it whenever we are together .. she never suggest me to be one, neither I question her choice.
Great @rahmanovic, being vegetarian is our choice and then we should not make fun of anyone for his choice. Be it anything. That's why even if they make fun of us, I proudly say Yes I am a Vegeterian
I am on my way to be one. Wish me luck! :)

well, to be honest, i love both I eat vegetables and meat of any its kind. I eat only HALAL meat because I am Muslim and there is no probation on any kind of vegetables so I enjoy them all except one or two vegetables.
I am a foodie and the things I consider before eating any kind of food is how it is cooked, I don't like spices too much. Anyways thanks a lot for sharing your story here. It is informative as well as humorous. Keep up the good work.
@hidayatkhan Great, well all depends on your choice, I like to be vegetarian because I feel it will do good for me whereas you check how the food is cooked because you feel that will do good for you. My point out here is even if you have any eating habit, you should not make fun of anyone else eating choices.

"Hey, all this is my friend and he is a vegetarian." Seriously why will this be an introduction? Being a vegetarian is our own choice... although I am not a vegetarian, but I have lots of friends who are... and we don't have a problem getting along with each other... there may be a lot of reason why one choose to be a vegetarian, and we should have respect each other...
Great, well all depends on your choice, its my choice to be vegetarian and I am happy with my choices. But people always judge you on your choices.
Well the most important thing is we are happy with our own choice.. And our choice doesn't have bad effect on others... Then I think if people wanna judge, it's their choice too... We don't have to be affected by that..
"I once had a conversation with my friend on being vegetarian. He asked me Are you Vegetarian?, I said Yes. Then he said that he is also a Vegetarian but he eats fish. I said dude seriously you eat fish and you are saying you are vegetarian."
You shouldn't dictate him how he should eat. Let him eat like he wants, just be a friend and be tolerant and don't bring this topic anymore up.
You should also check out the new dtube subreddit, currently the only opportunity to get contact with the support (it's actually one guy, the creator, who managed the whole platform, which is kinda impressive) and some user tutorials we have written. https://www.reddit.com/r/dtube/
@cheech I guess you understood wrongly, I am a vegetarian and I am proud of it. I am not dictating anyone to eat anything. But no one should dictate me also.
Nope I am not a vegetarian @codingdefined , LOL, but I keep a balance consumption and I sway closer to vegetables (especially fresh stuffs) and occasionally feed some meat when necessary.
I have come to be at peace of myself that I will not put my lifestyle as a confined rules but I learn to listen to my body.
Fruits and vegetables are definitely a yes for me, as they really pump up and nourishes our body.
I have also come to be at peace that if we are all made vegetarians, animals would have never existed at all.
(I am not saying I am eating ALL kinds of animals LOL)
Right now, I just appreciate what I have, if I have a coconut today, I would be as equally delightful if I am blessed with a part portion of fish / a bit of other kinds of meat (especially lamb that keeps me warm once a while).
But most things, especially meat (or anything that bleeds), cannot be consumed too much. Heck, most things, according to one's body, have limited inputs too. Nothing should be overdone.
(I have experienced that myself)
But it is really good though, that you have pointed out the different levels of vegetarians. Good effort.

I think your post is very interesting. I consider myself a vegetarian, and I have been for a couple years now. I would however be considered to your standard as a lacto-ovo-vegetarian, because of my consumption of eggs and so on. However, I do eat fish on rare occasion, and that being maybe once every 4-6 months. So I don't know what I would even call myself.
My diet started when I was in university, and solely because I thought it was a healthy diet to live by, but also it was actually an extremely cheap lifestyle (I lived in northern Canada at the time and meat was insanely expensive). Later on I lived / worked in northern reservations where fishing was almost a way to live. This is where my decision for fish came into my diet.
In my opinion I think the names are a bit too superficial! You should completely live by your own standards and follow what you believe in. To me, I am vegetarian. However, I understand if some disagree, but this is the lifestyle I chose!
I am not a vegetarian, but i don't eat meat.
