Vehicle Photography - Join me behind the wheel of the exotic red Ferrari in Singapore - How Pricey is this thing? $$$

Hello Steemians,

As part of @Juliank's #vehiclephotography challenge, I'm sharing these pictures and experience of checking out the very red hot Ferrari in Singapore.

One of the best things about my business is being able to meet people from all over the world who are from various industries and sectors. This particular time I was fortunate to be invited to check out the Ferrari - the ultimate vehicle of power and performance in Singapore.

Singapore has been voted as the most expensive city in the world to live and owning a car is no cheap exercise.

In fact Singapore is also the most expensive place in the world to own and drive a car thanks to their taxes and the 'Certificate of Entitlement (COE)' which currently costs about SGD45,000, valid for 10 years - just to have a vehicle on the road (no it doesn't include the car). It could be considered a bargain as the COE was going for SGD$100,000 back in 2013!

But hey - if you can afford a Ferrari, who cares about the extra $45K expense anyway right?

FYI - Taxes and COE is supposed to deter people from car ownership in Singapore. Being a tiny island that is just 719.1km2, such measures are needed to be put in place to control congestion, traffic jams and pollution.

So how much does a Ferrari cost in Singapore?

This Ferrari 488 GTB cost about SGD $995,000 plus extras - not so attractive for us fellow Australians where we can get the same vehicle for less than half price (about AUD $470,000) back at home.

I've got to admit that the Ferrari is certainly sleek and beautiful - but how much do you need to be earning to buy one of these things in Singapore?

According to dollarsandsense.sg - using their calculations, you should be earning about $83,000 a month to buy one.

Perhaps a reachable goal for fellow Steemians?

Can you imagine getting behind this everyday?

Apparently you cannot keep a car that is more than 10 years old in Singapore. Typically their cars would get sold off to neighbouring countries or scrapped for parts (heartbreaking).

Despite its expense, it's very common to see exotic/super cars throughout Singapore. In fact the country is ranked 4th in the world when it comes to cities with the most millionaire CEOs, so why not reward themselves for their hard work.

Thoughts?

I love admiring the beauty of things, however with my (not-so-great) driving track record, it's best I stay away from this one.
