Hi Steemers!
I you visit my blog regularly, you probably know that a vast majority of my entries for the #vehiclephotography contest hosted by @juliank have been photos of classic American cars that I took in Cuba last year.
While Cuba is famous for having hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of these fancy oldtimers still rolling local streets, you can sometimes stumble upon a nice old car in other places too. I recently showed you this beautiful Chevrolet Chevelle that I saw in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles and today, I am going to please all old car enthusiasts with this Chevy that was parked in a street in Playa del Carmen, Mexico just a few blocks from where we lived.

Unlike most of the Cuban oldtimers, however, this car was not as shiny and well-maintained so I decided to put it in b&w that somehow fitted the photo better. Hopefully you will like it :)

Thanks @phortun! That's a great challenge to know more about the old collections of American vehicles, people will try to search more about this.👌
thanks
Cuba must be amazing! I would love to travel in this part of the world. Cool car as well - reminds me of some older crime movies from Miami hehe
Oh yeah, Cuba is very special place, it is very different from anything I have seen so far. It has its unique atmosphere and the old classic cars are an important part of that. I am sure you will visit this part of the world too one day :)
Yup, I'm pretty sure too hehe. Have a great weekend @phortun :)
If there’s a product Cuba is famous for, other than their cigars, it’s classic cars. Some might believe they are worth a lot of money, but that is not actually the case. Collectors of classic vehicles know these cars have often not really been maintained properly and have been driven and used as daily cars, so they are in bad condition. They look nice in the photos, though.
Interesting comment, thanks for that. I am not really into cars at all but I would say most of these cars in Cuba actually are in pretty good shape - giving rides to tourists is the only way to make some money for many locals so they have to take care of their cars. Or they look nice and well-maintained from the outside at least, like you said :)
looks like a shot from old film!
It does :))
Věřím ze spotreba bude urcite nizka 😂
:D
Ty tvoje auta mi trochu chyběly ;-)
Kubánské mi pomalu dochází, tak to musím občas něčím prostřídat :D
