So my favorite mode of transportation is by bike. I'm by no means an all-out adventure seeker on the trails but I do enjoy a challenge. A few hours on the trails on the weekend can be such a stress reliever. (It's a pretty intense workout as well).
But one of my favorite things is to spend a day riding around one of the local small cities, shopping, drinking and just hanging with the people there. You get a better sense of the city and will notice more since you are (hopefully) staying alert while not trying to get run over by driver on their cellphones. You also don't have to worry about a DUI on the way home. :)
It's the last day of February but feels like the middle of March already in Upstate New York. We usually still have sub zero temperatures and a few feet of snow on the ground. Here's to hoping the warming trends continue and I can get the biked tuned and on the trails soon!!!

Hi, just stopping by to inform you that your quality post is featured in Thank You Bicycle Spotlight - Issue #3
Awesome post and great pictures! I'm doing some night-riding tonight when I get out of work. Gotta get a good ride in before snow hits us!
Come on down and visit Reading, PA for an awesome biking experience. Hit the trails up on Mt. Penn, and then cruise down to Penn Ave in West Reading for a beer, some amazing food, and locally-owned stores for some quality window-shopping.
Next time I'm make a trip north, where do you recommend I visit with my bike?
