These photos were taken in 2012 in Borschemich - Germany, an abandoned town that had been emptied due to the expansion of nearby coal mine, Garzweiler.
In these series of photographs- I wind the film randomly to allow for images to overlap each other. The idea was, to emphasis the feeling of deconstruction, the town was facing.
Majority of the buildings were demolished in 2017.

I like the effect of the double exposure. It´s like the film was recovered from a camera that was abandoned and then rediscovered

We have many abandoned cities and places here in Hungary because of the shut down of mining industry.
