Vendée Globe: Cape Horn, the Falklands, going North

in #vendeeyesterday

Hi guys! Vendée Globe continues but it’s not all smooth sailing, especially for me in the Virtual Regatta. Over the past month I’ve completed the circumnavigation of Antarctica and rounded Cape Horn, passing the Falkland Islands a few days ago. These are super milestones but they’ve come with their challenges.

Now I’m sailing north toward the equator but things haven’t always gone as planned. I made some strategic choices that didn’t pay off and I’ve been caught in unfavorable winds that slowed me down. Instead of gaining rank I’ve lost some precious positions in the global ranking. I'm not happy for this but that’s part of the game!

The transition from the wild Southern Ocean to the lighter winds of the Atlantic is proving tricky. With less wind and more complex routing decisions, the challenge feel higher. Every mile now requires careful planning and a bit of luck, and I’ll need to find my trust again to recover some of the ground.

This race, both real and virtual, is a reminder that sailing, like life, is full of ups and downs. What matters is how you adapt and keep moving forward. Sometimes in everyday life we feel like we can stop the world for a while, but the sea reminds us that everything moves around us even when it doesn't seem like it!

For now, I’m focusing on finding the best path north and hoping for a better breeze ahead! I'll update you soon ⛵

Looks like you're a very adventurous person. I am too and I hope I'll be able to have my own boat someday and explore some places by water.
