Hello!! As I told you, I not only told you my anecdotes but told them about my habits. Today, friends can count on one of my skills, LA AREPA, A circle, like the name, Roasted corn dough, as good, Venezuelan, at my table, the arepa may be missing, and nothing compares with her, at breakfast or dinner, or to accompany a delicious lunch, with its texture, toasted on the outside and soft on the inside, with its different fillings and what can not be missing, the butter! Today I will share ideas, a compilation of the most famous fillings, do not hesitate in any case!
Here we go:
Queen Pepiada
The best known of all arepas, was conceived by the mother of the famous Álvarez Brothers in 1955, in honor of the Venezuelan Miss Susana Duim. Originally chicken salad was combined with slices of avocado and petit pois inside the arepa; Nowadays you can make a pre-mixed chicken with mayonnaise and avocado.
Domino
This combination of beans with hard white cheese is also common in empanadas and the oldest in an arepa. The cheese is usually quite salty and caraotas, sweet, to get a delicious contrast.
Pelúa
The mechada meat has always been quite popular in the areperas, and, its combination with yellow cheese is of the most requested. Take the name by the strands of meat and cheese that seem to add hair to the arepa.
Sifrina
It combines the classic queen pepiada with grated yellow cheese; there is no way to make it look bad
Rumbera
Pieces of delicious baked pork with yellow grated cheese. Carrying his name by the Caracas tradition of seeking asylum in an arepera, in the wee hours of the morning, after a good party.
Catira
She is the younger sister of the pelá; contains shredded chicken and grated yellow cheese.
Parakeet
This preparation of scrambled eggs with tomato and onion minced, and a little salt, is typical in Venezuelan breakfasts and can be obtained as a filling at any time. Some parrots are combined with fish, tuna and even ham, and they are really delicious.
Pabellon
The typical Venezuelan dish is inside the arepa with slices, beans, roasted meat and grated hard white cheese. One of my favorites.
Break Mattress
Some seafood has, supposedly, aphrodisiac properties. That is why it bears this name several mixtures of seafood, usually in vinaigrette or in oil, to fill the arepas: pepitonas, shrimp, squid, chipi chipi, octopus, among others.
Gringa or Musiúa
It's a Venezuelan adaptation of the American hamburger: instead it has a wheat bread with sesame topping, an open arepa contains all the ingredients.
Tumbarrancho
This arepa of Zulian origin takes the prize to the most convoluted preparation of the list. First, the roasted arepa is opened and a slice of mortadella is placed. Then it is closed, passed through flour and egg, and fried in oil. Finally, the breaded arepa is filled with hand cheese, minced cabbage, tomato, ketchup and mayonnaise.
Llanera
Strips of well-marinated beef, slices of tomato and avocado, and Guyanese cheese; pure ingredients of the plain for a perfect alchemy.
Widow
Arepa without filling that is used as a companion in meals. Especially to accompany a good sancocho of a Sunday with the family.

Christmas
Arepa that I remember with a lot of nostalgia, the one that had breakfast at home for these dates, stuffed with shredded pork and chicken salad that always remained after Christmas or New Year's Eve, accompanied with a piece of avocado if it is from your preference.
And finally I would like to add that now we Venezuelans have reinvented ourselves many ways to bring our arepas to the table, from giving them shapes to combining them with vegetables, grains, seeds or spices, for children we prepare them with shapes, for love We make heart-shaped, to eat and feel healthy, we take advantage of the nutrients that vegetables have, such as the arepas with carrots, pumpkin and beetroot, where we prepare the dough with these striped or crushed vegetables. At present there are many ways that by no means we miss the arepa in our diet, who will want to stop eating an arepa? I do not think you guys !!!
I hope you liked it and do not miss the opportunity to eat a good arepa, with the filling you want, and this is the best of the arepa, which combines with any protein, vegetable or vegetable. Do not forget to give me your * upvote * and leave me down your * comments * on how they are doing, I love reading them.
I say goodbye but before I will give you this picture of my breakfast today
