Congratulations to the following winner(s) of the bounty!

I hope the country finds a way to stay out of more debts. Being owned by... crawl for them is not a good option (the biggest joke is most countries are bankrupt and only (fake) faith is the reason they are still there.

They just want the oil, not to help so I would say NO, drop... world, find other ways to get it or save on it.

Not only tyrants abuse cryptocurrencies.. The Dutch taxes are the first to fill their pockets if you own some, so are the banks.

It is very hard to go up against the big fish in the world, such as the IMF, big backs and all the players who control us. I think Venezuela has a hard road ahead and just lost some support from the Chinese even.

According to steemers from VZ I have encountered here, life is very difficult and has a lot of different perils now. I saw someone mentioning they could not go to Steemfest even if they had the money as the government will not let them leave!

I hope they can improve their lot down there. It is a beautiful place with a lot going for it. But with the big guns after them, I am not sure if they can really buck the trend.

I've seen so many claims that crypto is already going pretty big in Venezuela. Any government controlled crypto could be used to track people and censor people or just mess with the distribution at least to some extent. Th best case scenario would probably be crypto spreading too far to a point where Venezuela becomes the first country to not use any official fiat currency. That would be so epic!

Petro is a scam. It is not a decentralized cryptoactive, the price is set by the government at its entire convenience.

People who invested foreign currency in Petro can only withdraw at the price dictated by the government and in a completely devalued local currency.

Unfortunately the intentions of this government are never good and are disguised behind anti-imperialist propaganda.

Much more international help, the situation here in Venezuela every day is more unsustainable, the government is highly concentrated in perpetuating itself in power, passing over all the corpses that they themselves have created.

Venezuela urgently needs international support, someone with an effective plan to take out this nefarious government interested only in its wealth.

This petro is just a pot of smoke, to continue bleeding the wealth of the country.

Venezuela has been in turmoil for quite some time now I really hope that they can sort it out for the sake of all the people there!

Using digital currency, it can avoid most sanctions.
it highlighting some controversy,
Is it just right when most people intend to sanction a minority?
Is it justified when most regimes intend to sanction weak regimes?
Is it just right when law enforcement agencies intend to sanction illegal organizations?

I support what Venezuela is doing but I doubt if they can hold on for long. The citizens out of desperation might rise against the government fiercely

I truly admire the courage of the Venezuelan government in refusing financial aid from the IMF and adopting the concept of decentralization.
This is obvious that decentralization is going forward and moving rapidly.

This whole crypt-money and macroeconomics thing is complicated for me. I wish that soon there will be improvements, thinking of all that we live here in the country.

Everything is possible.

The Venezuelan state is sad, but I doubt getting deeper into debts would have solved it. My fear is the dependence of the PTR on oil. As you said, oil is not dependable.

I hope as time goes by they find better ways to work out the issues.

In order to get rid of the severe economic crisis, Venezuela must escape by producing alternatives. Found solution very bright. Much effort should be put into the solution.

Venezuela every Third World Countries need Decentralised, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency space and economy so that people will be the controller of their financial decisions and whatever government does will be trasnsperant.@btcmillennial, In my opinion not just in

While it is impressive to refuse the help of external institutions (e.g. IMF etc.), I think Venezuelan government should rethink its position regarding that issue. I couldn't agree more that each party has its own vested interest in putting their cards into the Venezuelan economy but rebuilding a country, in this modern day, is too difficult to do on its own. What a country needs, not just Venezuela but also those who belong in the Third World is a government that puts people first. With a transparent and accountable government, coupled with a rich natural resource, Venezuela will surely arise from the ashes and put itself on a better position in the world stage.
