"A solution had to come if the rainy city was to continue being at the forefront of the green movement, and one economist believes that he may have the answer to the Seattle restaurant industries woes. Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Washington Philip Brock believes he has found the perfect way to make paper straws cheaper and potentially stronger so that restaurant owners can give away as many straws as possible without breaking the bank: buy Venezuelan Bolivars and use them to craft straws."

This is not funny at all, so sad the way Venezuela has gone with, with so much inflation, a country rich in oil and gas. Could this be as a result of corruption, I pray the get out of this situation and stand as united country.
This is the perfect solution for silly things like straw bans. The over-the-top governments that start by banning straws often end up with so many oppressive rules that they crash healthy economies like Seattle, like Detroit and like Venezuela.
BTW: the US dollar will someday be worth less than a straw. Most people in the US see the penny as valueless. (I said most people because people on Steem seem to think a tenth of a penny is worth something)
