Venezula security forces kill Oscar Perez, an ex-member of an elite police unit that declared his opposition to Venezuela's president Nicolas Maduro. Perez was wanted on the account of hijacking a government helicopter and dropping grenades onto the Supreme Court building in the capitol of Caracas.
Perez and his group were sought after for its terrorist acts and tactics against the Venezuela's Socialist government. Venezuela is in an economical crisis and hyperinflation is making the food and other commodities scarce.
On Jan. 15, Perez posted to Instagram, a social network, the accounts before his killing and other members. On his Instagram post, he depicts his surrender to the security forces and their plea for safety. The following post showed him dripping in blood and heavy artillery gun shot sounds resonating in the background.
Among the crisis in Venezuela, the death of Perez has open the doors to discuss whether this was and inhumane act by the security forces.
