I can’t remember which actual event earned me my CAB (combat action badge) But it was always fun back at ft. Bragg not wearing it and letting the joes find out on their own we had them. It’s not my most honored award but I am proud to have earned it! Really awesome story thank you for your service. What you guys went through over there and back here I will never forget! Much respect. and a comment about marines. I was 82nd Airborne (recon squadron) served in Afghanistan, when I came home it was the same deal I worked fire fighting I never got along with army vets as good as I did with marines. We had the same mentality. But that never stops me from giving those marines a little hell. Devil Dogs are a rare breed! Grateful to have them

One of my best friends in the shipyards was a Marine that did 8 years and I think got out because the Vietnam war was over. When he re-enlisted, he got stateside duty but hated keeping shoes shined so back to Vietnam he went for second 4 years. He was a little off, you never turned your back on him but he was hella fun to work with. Thanks for your service, fellow badger!!
What is the actual name Car or Cab? They also tied someone's car axel to a post in a Movie. I think it was called Happy Days. Someone correct me because I want to google that scene.
CAR is combat action ribbon (Navy & Marines), CAB is combat action badge (Army). It was American Graffiti with the car axle. Army has CIB for infantry and CMB for medics too.
