Ans I get what you mean about nowadays. I have the deal with medicine and nursing. The profession is awesome and the goal is perfect, but should a profession be for life considering how we change as a person?
I dont have the answers..
I'm almost sure that this kind of professions, that are very demanding for the professionals, are somehow of rapid burnout high risk.
That is for sure one of the issues that makes me feel that I probably don't manage to go through my all active life to work in the area... The real struggle is that I don't know what I could do instead of being a vet...
Should I call it a "midlife early crisis"? Ahaha
