RE: DTUBE file size limits? My large file failed to upload at 638MB

in #video6 years ago

6th April 2019: I just uploaded a 950mb file using Chrome no problem, it took about 30 minutes using a 4.5mb/s upload speed.
It was a 1080 (60fps) video and so Dtube automatically converted into 480.
Plays back in chunks(stops and starts) despite me having 50mb/s download speed

Update: I just tried a 1.4gb file and it would not load properly, it went through all the motions and showed that it had uploaded but would not do the 480conversion etc. and when I pressed the "submit" button it said you must upload a video to do that! Wasted a fair few hours with this!. Tried about 5 times. Then tried another video of about 600mb and it uploaded fine.... why is there no answer to this question of file size limits!?

Update 10th April 2019: Using 90mb/s University internet today and loads at the same speed as my home 5mb/s!!!
So obviously it is Dtube servers can't handle anything faster.
