RE: Why Does Google Want Your DNA?

in #video7 years ago

@reallygraceful, a lot of this stuff is just plain scary, and yet not surprising. We created a "machine" that allegedly was intended to make our lives easier, but we have to keep feeding it pieces of our virtual and real "souls" in order for it to keep running. It's life depends on it... and WE do not believe we can survive without the "machine."

Did we really give up our information willingly? Or were we coerced, or manipulated? I think we were lured; we were offered "90-day free trials" in exchange for our information, and since many Humans are struggling to make ends meet — OR suffer from a severe case of FOMO — we take these offers, not knowing that we just paid a price.

Why do they want our DNA? Just another level of marketing; another way to make a pitch, poking at our fears, but now in a supremely specific way.

"Dear Ms. Really Graceful! It has come to our attention that since you have genetic marker 245-ab-8, you're at increased risk for rectal bleeding after consuming carrots. But don't worry, we're pleased to enclose this 30-day supply of the antidote (which contains crack, so you'll want to buy it forever!) because we CARE about your health and longevity. Remember, if we can help you live to 120, you'll be our customer for an extra 40 years!"
