Today in Music (September 14th)

in #video7 years ago

What interesting new songs or albums were released or were topping the charts on September the 14th in the history of music?

What has happened on this day in the music universe?

I apologize in advance that my view is quite narrow since I only know and follow western music.

In 1980 The Rolling Stones album “Tattoo You” started its climb in the carts featuring “Start Me Up”

"In 1970 Diana Ross had No. 1 Chart Toppers Pop Hit with “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”.

This is her live performance of the song from 1979.

In 1968 Who’s Pete Townshend was telling to the Rolling Stone magazine that he’s working on a rock opera about a deaf, dumb, and blind boy.

We can say that Tommy was born on this day. Here are Who with Elton John as a “Pinball Wizard”.

Please remember that these artists and songs are my personal choices and are not always what you would consider a great hit. OK, most of the time they are.
