RE: Formless Freqs / Modular Synth Composition

Thanks for the awesome video and look inside some of your struggles.

Thank you for opening up about all that. This last summer I took a trip out to Detroit for their yearly Techno festival and after a trip to a museum where some of the folks from Underground Resistance were talking about the history of techno and house, it really started to bother me how white washed electronic music has gotten over the years, but while there are frequent conversations on how rap and hip-hop has become gentrified, you rarely see those accusations leveled at electronic music despite being a huge perpetrator of it.

I don't really know where I'm going with this honestly, but I guess I just feel bad that you feel excluded from this community POC have given so much musically to pretty much every musical community. The subject is complicated and I don't think I'm giving it justice, but don't think what you are doing is weird. I really enjoy what I've heard from you. Keep it up.

Yeah man,
I share these things so people can talk about them and have a better understanding of the experience I go through. No matter what position or color you are in life we all have struggles and pain. At the end of the day, we all want the same things, food, clothing shelter and a loving/thriving community. It is a complicated subject that goes pretty deep. I plan on writing about it more to shed some light on the lack of diversity in music and how blacks are excluded from the touring circuit for electronic music events etc. I want to help create change and to make sure my musical contributions and other musicians like me aren't excluded from the history of electronic music. Thanks for the feedback and positive dialog.
