Has science outgrown its most basic assumptions?
I am a scientist myself, I have a PhD in chemistry and worked in research for years. And I could never understand how anyone who knows about the history of science can assume that we knew anything about how this universe actually functions.
In my perspective science only expands from one assumption to the next, it is evolving from one model to describe reality to a more advanced one. I really see science rather as a search for answers than a statement of truth. And it seems Rupert Sheldrake does as well:
