I had a conversation with someone the other day about how money can't buy happiness.. Well, in the video, I talk about my own thoughts on that matter.
I also discuss my short term steemit goal on how I am trying to raise enough money for my kids school supplies and clothes.
Thank you for watching.
LIFE IS A TEAM SPORT
Keep on STEEMIN!!!
I read the title and thought you were going to talk about steel as an asset to invest in haha.
That typo converted me to your video and gained you a follower :)
Man I did it again... Damn auto correct.. And I need to do better with proof reading.. lol Thanks though.
LOL! 2nd time this happens! This is a sign : you should invest heavily in Steel!
I think useless collecting of objects will not make you happy, but more money allows you more freedom to do the things you want to do. Whether travel or providing for your kids, you need money to do it. And both of those things can make you happy, depending on what you want. Also, freedom from stressing over your bills and whether you can pay your rent and put food on the table for you and your kids...that's priceless. I wish you all the best on Steemit!
That was very well put. Thank you for your input. Freedom is definitely the goal.
It can't buy happiness, yet it is right up there with oxygen and is needed for our survival right now. So, in away if eating makes you satisfied then it can buy that happiness and fill your stomach. In that sense it is right up there with oxygen. Happiness comes from within. External markers are a lie.
What brings happiness is progress. Daily progress
Truth be told, having less made me feel so free. But pre children. All I owned fit in the trunk and it stayed that way (save for bikes and kayak which were tied on). I had no liabilities and not many assets. But I moved all over the USA with no strings. No. Money does not make me happy. HOWEVER, the blessing of financial security and plenty makes me so grateful because I know my children will be fed, clothed and lovingly cared for. We have a tiny home and drive fifteen year old cars, so it is a happy and content existence. But I remember when it was not so cozy. So, the best thing about money is what it can do to lift others up. The best legacy I can leave my children (we can leave our children) is to stay out of the system, be off the dole, think, speak and act freely, give them the truth to know freedom and what it costs. And then to build confident, kind, generous and compassionate people who will do right and use their knowledge and skills for good. That is all. Money is a tool.
