I have found it doesnt matter how much money you spend on micro USB cables, they all break after 3-6 months, if you are using them for power. I think its just a design flaw in the connector, the little springs wear out.

It's true the cables break within a few months, but compared to cheap $1 dollar cables, these provide the required power to the devices. I had some tablets discharging due to those cheap cables. Changing that with these, they now hold their charge.
