That was a great show... A few years back I was visiting a friend up in the woods at his cabin on a lake and Kris Kristofferson was up there and joined us for lunch. He was a very easygoing guy and we had a great time. When I got on the highway to head back home, I turned on the radio and the first song to come on was "Me and Bobby McGee" written by Kris Kristofferson and performed by Janis Joplin. I cranked it up and put the pedal to the metal.

Seriously. Very influential film for me. Learned quite a few songs off there. I feel like Janis was literally channelling some kind of universal wisdom. She tells all these amazing stories in the middle of songs! I mean, who does that now? Who could? I'd like to see more entertainment like that. 1970 must've been quite a year.
