I've seen other videos like this! I remember eating this kind of cabbage roll once (can't remember the culture, Polish maybe) It wasn't bad.
I've learned to eat Israeli food (hummus, matzo ball soup, gefelte fish, which is like the spam of Hebrew cooking). The best beef I've ever tasted was corned beef cooked by a Messianic friend of mine, a lady who knew what she was doing!
I hate the pickled beets here, but beet soup...maybe.
